Popcorn Urbanism is a performance, designed in response to an annual Art and Architecture event in Los Angeles.
Domestic interiors from the past fifty years of cinema, with protagonists silhouetted out, suspended above a field of popcorn.

At a moment when it is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate between news and propaganda, fact and fiction, we propose an engagement with the structures of fictional domesticity. Participants are encouraged to consume and replace the popcorn, maintaining the fresh aroma throughout the room, while simultaneously inserting themselves within the movie stills, in lieu of the missing characters.

Over the course of the night, the popcorn boxes migrate from the motel room,
and disperse into the party, colonizing simultaneous events.
